An industry leading government vessel manufacturer is looking to hire a Mechanical Project Engineer to their growing team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical development of new construction vessels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working on mechanical propulsion systems and piping on government vessels. Responsibilities Provide engineering and technical direction on assigned projects in accordance with the project scope. Design or review vessel mechanical systems which meet requirements set forth in the vessel specification, creating models, drawings, and detailed bills of materials. Confer with project Subcontractor design agents Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience Familiarity with ABS Standards Experience working with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Ship Constructor Strong communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team development.
