Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies and advise insurers on complex coverage issues
  • Draft detailed coverage opinions
  • Defend carriers in bad faith and declaratory relief actions
  • Manage your own caseload with support from experienced partners
  • Handle depositions, discovery, strategy, and dispositive motion work

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation defense
  • OR 3+ years of general litigation defense experience with a strong interest in this space
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated independence, excellence, and a collaborative work approach

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $200,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
  • Profit-sharing bonus structure: $145/hour on all net billables above 1,600 hours
  • Discretionary bonus potential (many associates have received five-figure bonuses annually)

  • Offices in Los Angeles – 100% remote option
