Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and advise insurers on complex coverage issues
• Draft detailed coverage opinions
• Defend carriers in bad faith and declaratory relief actions
• Manage your own caseload with support from experienced partners
• Handle depositions, discovery, strategy, and dispositive motion work

Position Details

• Offices in Los Angeles – 100% remote
• High autonomy over your work and calendar
• Base salary up to $200,000 (depending on experience)
• Profit-sharing bonus structure: $145/hour on all net billables above 1,600 hours
• Discretionary bonus potential (many associates have received five-figure bonuses annually)
• Health, dental, and vision insurance
• No billing micromanagement and plenty of time for personal needs and growth
• 1+ years of experience in insurance coverage and/or bad faith litigation defense
• OR 3+ years of general litigation defense experience with a strong interest in this space
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Someone who values independence, excellence, and a healthier pace of legal life
