Senior Maintenance Engineer

Position Summary Join our exceptional team at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe as a Senior Maintenance Engineer, where your skills will shine in creating memorable experiences for our guests. You will respond to and attend to guest repair requests, ensuring all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include: Performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, which includes thorough cleaning and lubrication. Communicating with guests to address their maintenance issues with minimal supervision. Visually inspecting equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal operation. Identifying and operating shut-off valves for various equipment. Managing maintenance inventory and requisitioning necessary parts and supplies. Documenting daily activities and problems for seamless communication between shifts. Demonstrating advanced abilities in reading blueprints and electrical schematics relevant to plumbing and HVAC systems. Exhibiting strong mechanical skills across multiple maintenance categories like air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently in completing repairs and maintenance tasks. Executing complex repairs to ensure all practices meet both company standards and local/national codes. Training and mentoring junior engineers as needed. This role requires adherence to all safety and security policies, reporting any issues promptly, and maintaining a professional appearance at all times. You will be expected to engage respectfully and actively with guests, assisting with their needs and showing appreciation for their patronage. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical training. Extensive experience in general maintenance, ideally with at least 2 years in hotel engineering/maintenance. Required Qualifications Valid Driver's License. Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification. Compliance with applicable state and federal certification/licensing requirements. The pay for this position is $27.11 per hour, alongside a range of benefits including healthcare, retirement plans, paid time off, life and disability insurance, and wellness programs.
