Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of young students by providing exceptional support in a Social Emotional Behavior classroom for grades 3–5. This full-time contract position (40 hours per week) offers you the opportunity to work closely with students who benefit from a dedicated and compassionate approach to learning. The school day runs from 8:20 AM to 3:40 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports both staff and students. This assignment begins in May 2026 and continues through October 2026, allowing you to focus solely on the academic year, with no summer duties required. The role is in-person, ensuring you can build real connections and deliver meaningful interventions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Special Education Teaching certification
  • Previous experience in special education settings, especially with grades 3–5, preferred
  • Strong understanding of social emotional learning and behavioral interventions
  • Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors with empathy and structure

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Implement behavior management strategies in a positive, supportive manner
  • Track progress and maintain detailed records of interventions and outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s growth
  • Foster a safe, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment
  • Engage in parent/guardian communication to share progress and strategies
  • Adapt lessons and interventions to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs
