As a Crutchfield Technical Support Specialist, you will: Provide technical support to customers who have purchased product from Crutchfield. Engage our customers with a calm, interested and professional demeanor. Help customers understand and utilize their equipment. Troubleshoot technical or product issues (for both home and car equipment). This involves diagnosing problems, offering solutions, and/or providing step-by-step instructions to help customers resolve their issues. Actively listen to the customer to determine their needs, and paraphrasing, to clarify. Qualifications: Passion for customer service and exceptional interpersonal skills. A background in electronic (and other related fields) along with DIY experience is recommended but not required. Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills. Ability and willingness to learn through on-the-job training. Proficient computer skills. Highly self-motivated Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through phone, email, and chat. Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule that will include working 1 weekend day per week Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus Training: If you don't know everything about electronics, no worries. Every new team of Technical Support Specialists receives 10 weeks of paid, hands-on training with an experienced Tech Trainer before working with customers independently. Our next training class is scheduled to begin June 9th, 2025. Salary and Benefits: The starting pay is $19.17/hour, with potential for a performance-based bonus of up to $300 every three months. Onsite and Remote Work: Our new Technical Support Specialists will be trained onsite in Charlottesville, VA, but after training you will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule which allows 2 days working from home and 3 days working onsite per week. All remote work must be done within the Commonwealth of Virginia to qualify for a hybrid schedule.
