RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Training and Capability Development in our Newbern, TN facility! Your Job The Training and Capability Development Specialist is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and sustaining the plant’s training framework to support workforce capability, compliance, and operational performance. This role partners closely with subject matter experts and cross-functional leaders to ensure effective onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and continuous improvement across the plant. What You Will Do in Your Role Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and department leaders to support the successful delivery of approved training programs for both new and existing employees. Lead and coordinate onboarding and orientation activities, ensuring a welcoming and consistent introduction to plant expectations, processes, and culture. Support the creation, continuous improvement, organization, and maintenance of training materials, presentations, and learning resources. Organize and manage training schedules, communications, attendance tracking, and logistics for both classroom and virtual learning experiences. Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, certifications, qualifications, and documentation within approved systems to ensure compliance and transparency. Develop and launch an initial skill matrix framework, partnering with departments to support ongoing updates and sustainability. Monitor training completion, recertification timelines, and overall training effectiveness; prepare reports and documentation to support audits and compliance requirements. Support written and hands-on evaluations, qualification activities, and role-based training requirements as needed. Partner cross-functionally with HR, management, engineering, EHS, quality, and operations to align training processes with plant goals and company standards. Lead or support workforce development initiatives, including apprenticeship programs, tuition reimbursement, grant-funded opportunities, cross-training, and leadership development efforts. Support training plans tied to new equipment, technologies, processes, and plant-wide initiatives. Participate in cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement activities focused on workforce capability and operational performance. Provide facilitation support for approved training sessions when needed. Perform additional training-related administrative or support responsibilities as assigned. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience or relevant certifications will be considered. Experience in training coordination, workforce development, learning administration, HR support, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with learning management systems, ERP systems, or other business platforms. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain accurate records and support audit and compliance requirements. What Will Put You Ahead Manufacturing or plant-based experience. Experience supporting compliance-driven training environments (EHS, quality, regulatory). Familiarity with continuous improvement concepts such as 5S and Kaizen. Experience supporting apprenticeship programs, leadership development, or technical skills training.
