Weekend Coverage: Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks (preferred 4/4)

Key Qualifications (Required)
15–18 months recent clinical experience in SLP specialty, preferably acute care or hospital SLP
Active Georgia SLP license (state licensure required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Prior acute care / hospital experience highly desirable (ICU, stroke, dysphagia, respiratory compromise)
MBS/FEES proficiency is a plus but not required
Core Responsibilities
Provide speech-language pathology services to acute care patients across the hospital per physician orders
Assess and treat dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, voice, and motor speech disorders in medical/surgical and ICU populations
Manage complex caseloads including stroke/neurologic patients, respiratory compromise, and post-operative cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, nurses, PT/OT, respiratory therapy) to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Perform bedside assessments, instrumental assessments as appropriate, and recommend safe diet/communication strategies
Document patient progress, insurance/authorization details, and communicate findings effectively with healthcare team
Participate in scheduled weekend coverage and provide continuity of care for acute patients
