Dental Hygienist Provide optimum age-specific prevention and curative periodontal and dental care for patients. Perform hygiene services on infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Educate patients on the prevention and control of oral disease, emphasizing the importance of oral hygiene, home care, and nutrition. Examine oral tissues, perform periodontal therapy, coronal polishing of teeth, and apply topical fluoride. Measure and mark periodontal pockets. Perform x-rays and record pulse, blood pressure, and temperature. Manage patient schedule. Coordinate and conduct dental prevention activities, including health fairs and clinics. Maintain supplies and instruments, including sterilization of instruments. Perform other duties as assigned. This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
