Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a truly valued member of a truly valued team here at Shepherd of the Hills Living Center!
2. Assist Residents with daily living activities, to include, delivering meals, turning and ambulating residents and providing plenty of fluids and nourishment meals throughout scheduled shift
3. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) helps Residents with personal hygiene
4. Observe Residents and report any health issues to the supervising nurse
5. Document Resident food and fluid intake
6. Assist Residents with feeding and serving nutritional supplements
7. Making the Resident's beds and keeping their living areas clean and tidy
8. Transport Residents within the facility
9. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists nurses and other staff as needed
10. Adhere to professional standards and follow all facility policies and procedures
11. Abide by all federal, state and local requirements and standards
12. Maintain the confidentiality of all Residents and Facility data

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Current and Valid CNA certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective communication skills
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills
• Fast and adaptive problem-solving abilities
• Keen attention to detail
• In-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations
• Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for several medical conditions
• Physical strength and stamina
