A mid-size law firm in Bergen County is seeking an experienced Managing Clerk to support attorneys and legal staff with court filings, docketing, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is a key operational role requiring strong knowledge of court rules and filing procedures, particularly in New Jersey and New York.
Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of filing and e-filing in federal, state, and local courts Review legal documents for compliance with applicable court rules and filing requirements Maintain and oversee docketing and calendaring across multiple jurisdictions Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and court submissions Serve as a resource to attorneys and staff on court procedures and rule changes Coordinate with courts, clerks, and external vendors as needed
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of federal, state & local court rules - particularly New Jersey, and New York, Required Proven experience with filing/e-filing, Required Experience with docketing/calendaring across multiple jurisdictions, Required Highly organized xsgimln with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits: Salary up to $125,000 (non-exempt, DOE Eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period
