Location: Irvine, CA Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000 USD About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Operations & Satellite Planning (COSP) Specialist to support satellite imagery operations and customer delivery workflows for advanced Earth observation systems. In this role, you will serve as a key interface between customers and internal technical teams, ensuring seamless order management, satellite tasking, and delivery of high-quality imagery and analytics products. You will play a critical role in planning satellite acquisitions, maintaining customer satisfaction, and improving operational processes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Manage customer orders from submission through delivery of satellite imagery and analytics products Prepare feasibility studies for satellite imagery acquisition based on mission requirements Plan and allocate satellite resources for SAR image collection Perform quality control of acquired SAR imagery to ensure product standards are met Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via email, phone, and chat, providing updates on order status and performance reporting Improve customer experience by conducting regular business review calls and maintaining strong relationships Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and concerns in a timely manner Coordinate and deliver training sessions for internal teams and external customers Collaborate cross-functionally with satellite operations, sales, analytics, product, and software engineering teams to resolve issues Contribute to process improvements and maintain accurate operational documentation Track and report key performance metrics, identifying trends and anomalies Maintain a strong understanding of products, services, and operational workflows Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related technical field 1–3 years of customer service experience in a B2B environment Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Proficiency with Windows xsgimln OS and Microsoft Office tools Strong sense of accountability, responsiveness, and quality focus Fluency in written and spoken English Ability to obtain a security clearance Preferred Qualifications Background in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Experience with Earth observation tools or platforms (e.g., SNAP or similar) Familiarity with customer service performance metrics and reporting Proficiency in additional languages Why Join Work at the intersection of satellite operations, geospatial data, and customer delivery Play a key role in enabling mission-critical Earth observation capabilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a highly technical environment Opportunity to contribute to process improvements and operational excellence
