As a key player supporting our supply chain network, this position monitors part inventory levels and delivery schedules to assure timely delivery of materials and products to our customer locations and manages time sensitive information to ensure data accuracy in the customer's and/or Penske's inventory systems. This is a new operation located in Obetz, OH. New hire orientation is tentatively scheduled for March 30th, 2026 Schedule: u2022 Monday - Friday 1st Shift 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM u2022 Monday - Friday 2nd Shift - 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Compensation: u2022 1st Shift - $21.00 per hour u2022 2nd Shift - $21.00 per hour plus $1.00 Shift Differential, totaling $22.00 per hour Major Responsibilities: u2022 Audit of picker activity/accuracy, warehouse reports, maintain of files, customer service interaction, resolution of pallet staging/tracking. Maintenance and distribution of order sheets, daily interface with pickers, assist with picker coverage of vacation and overflow freight u2022 Various office and administrative duties, which may include handling shipping documents, office supplies, maintaining database and miscellaneous reporting u2022 Assist operations with passing out orders to be picked and document time out/in, picker's name and piece count for daily activity log. u2022 Liaison for internal customer support u2022 Data entry and record processing in variety of WMS and MRP systems. u2022 Provides direction when discrepancies are found u2022 Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards (as applicable) u2022 Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments u2022 Communicate with associates from other shifts u2022 Complete daily logs u2022 Work with customer to resolve stock shortages u2022 Identify cost savings opportunities for the customer u2022 Track shipments to ensure shipment deadlines are met. u2022 Work with suppliers to correct part/shipment issues u2022 Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications: u2022 At least 1 year of warehousing/material-handling experience required u2022 High school diploma or GED equivalent required u2022 Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, team player, flexibility required, verbal & written communication skills, excellent with numbers and time management, strong problem-solving skills required u2022 Advanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required u2022 Must also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer owned Warehouse Management System (WMS) and or MRP systems. u2022 Ability to work in warehouse non-climate-controlled conditions required u2022 Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location u2022 Shift may vary based on customer operations u2022 Complete Penske employment application and submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education) Physical Requirements: -The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
