*Duties + Responsibilities:*

- Litigate contested divorce and child custody cases
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, correspondence and settlement agreements
- Draft discovery requests and responses. Prepare document productions
- Represent clients in mediation and ADR
- Represent clients at court hearings
- Manage a caseload and meet deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case preparation
- Trial Preparation, including drafting of direct and cross examinations, witness preparation and preparation of trial notebooks - Conduct and defend depositions - Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to divorce and family law in DC, MD and VA

*Skills*:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Maryland. Admitted to Washington, DC or Virginia Bars a Plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with at least 2 years focusing on divorce and family law litigation

- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
