Laborer Data Center Construction The Laborer plays a central role on a data center construction site by managing how materials are delivered, stored, moved, and used to support daily operations. This position focuses on safely unloading and moving construction and electrical materials, organizing them in designated areas, and working closely with onsite Electricians to ensure they have the supplies needed at the right time and place. Responsibilities Unload construction and electrical materials from deliveries and move them safely to designated areas on the job site. Organize, label, and maintain material storage areas so that supplies are easy to locate and access. Coordinate closely with onsite Electricians to ensure they receive the correct materials and equipment when needed to support their work. Handle and move electrical supply equipment efficiently across the job site using appropriate tools and safe lifting techniques. Support daily job site logistics, including staging materials for upcoming tasks and returning unused materials to storage. Communicate clearly and professionally with field leadership, tradespeople, and other team members to understand material needs and priorities. Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability to support project schedules and milestones. Follow all safety policies and procedures while working indoors and outdoors in a construction environment. Collaborate with job site coordinator leads and other logistics staff to keep workflows organized and efficient. Participate in any required screenings, such as lift tests, to ensure safe performance of physical job duties. Essential Skills 2+ years of consistent work history demonstrating reliability and strong attendance. Experience with logistics, general labor, or material handling in a construction or similar environment. Ability to unload, move, and stage construction and electrical supply materials on a job site. Capability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with Electricians, leadership, and other onsite personnel. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. Willingness and ability to complete a lift test and any required screenings related to job duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience supporting large construction or data center projects is beneficial. Familiarity with basic construction site safety practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Why Work Here? The dress code requires steel-toe boots and work pants appropriate for a construction environment. The client provides key personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility gear, to support a safe and compliant work setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
