Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California
- Demonstrated experience delivering OT services in school settings, preferably with K-8th-grade students
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and school-based therapy best practices
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to meet scheduled needs and cover leaves as necessary
- Commitment to fostering independence, participation, and access to curriculum for all students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions for students with varying needs
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and develop targeted goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services within classroom and small group settings
- Communicate progress and recommendations clearly through written reports and meetings
- Contribute expertise as part of the IEP team, ensuring goals are meaningful and attainable
- Facilitate smooth transitions for students returning from leaves or changing caseloads
- Maintain organized, compliant records consistent with school protocols
