Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California
  • Demonstrated experience delivering OT services in school settings, preferably with K-8th-grade students
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and school-based therapy best practices
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Adaptability to meet scheduled needs and cover leaves as necessary
  • Commitment to fostering independence, participation, and access to curriculum for all students

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions for students with varying needs
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and develop targeted goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative services within classroom and small group settings
  • Communicate progress and recommendations clearly through written reports and meetings
  • Contribute expertise as part of the IEP team, ensuring goals are meaningful and attainable
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for students returning from leaves or changing caseloads
  • Maintain organized, compliant records consistent with school protocols
