Payroll Clerk Position: Payroll Clerk Summary/Objective: Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks. Responsible for processing payroll and maintaining employee files for approximately 500 plus employees from multiple states and is the point of contact for all payroll related issues. Position Requirements: Essential Functions Obtain proper approval for payroll changes pertaining to the company policy and all compliance requirements and document the employee file. Respond to a wide variety of inquiries which may involve researching programs, policies and procedures. Process and document garnishments, payroll deductions, and direct deposits. Process invoices, assemble distribution lists, and headcount reports as needed. Prepare and process a wide variety of time sensitive personnel action forms containing confidential information. Maintain appropriate records, files, documentation, per policy and legal guidelines. Provide customer services to employees as it pertains to payroll and benefits information. Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, benefit deductions. Contact various Branch managers or Onsite supervisors for any missed times. Process weekly transfer of payroll data to Avionte or Nova time 4000/5000 system. Compile and provide internal management ad hoc reports as needed on a variety of payroll, benefit, and HR project.
