Shipping and Receiving Clerk with PLEX Experience

Our client in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping & Receiving Clerk with experience using the PLEX Manufacturing System. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are handled efficiently to support production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders
• Accurately enter receipts, shipments, and inventory transactions into PLEX system
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control and audits
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if applicable)
• Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas and ensure materials are stored properly
• Identify and report damaged or incorrect shipments
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Shipping & Receiving, Warehouse, or Logistics required
• Hands-on experience with PLEX Manufacturing System (ERP) required
• Strong computer skills and data entry accuracy
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing slips, and bills of lading
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting
• Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in automotive or manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory processes
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Work Environment:

• Warehouse and manufacturing setting
• Exposure to varying temperatures and moderate noise levels
• Required use of PPE as needed

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 a hour Shift: 1st shift
