Responsibilities Provide expert wine recommendations and pairings based on menu selections and guest preferences Deliver attentive, friendly service to all guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience Assist guests with menu and suggest upselling opportunities to enhance sales and guest satisfaction Maintain thorough knowledge of our wine list, food offerings, and current events Handle food and beverage orders accurately using POS system Ensure food safety standards are consistently met through proper food handling and sanitation practices Support catering and banquet events by serving guests efficiently and professionally Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during transactions Able to navigate dietary requests and allergies with kitchen team Uphold high standards of customer service, serving with enthusiasm and professionalism at all times
Skills Proven experience in restaurant service with a focus on fine dining or upscale establishments Strong knowledge of wine varieties and food pairing principles. Level one or level two certification from Court or Master Sommelier or WSET preferred. Required within 90 days of hiring. Proficiency in POS systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell confidently and effectively Background in food industry roles such as serving, catering, banquet service, or food handling Culinary experience or culinary training is advantageous for understanding meal preparation and presentation Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and meal preparation Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills to engage guests warmly and professionally
