Tractor Trailer Driver
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Tractor-Trailer Driver based out of our Tinton Falls, NJ asphalt plant to haul oversized and overweight loads in our East region. This role is responsible for complying with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Day to Day
Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
Follow all Corporate, MSHA, and FMCSA Safety rules to promote a positive safety culture.
Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
Communicate via radio or phone with dispatcher to receive instructions on delivery/pick up or receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
Maintain accurate logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines/procedures to perform the functions of the job.
Haul oversized and overweight loads.
Ability to load and unload heavy equipment (loaders, dozers, graders, excavators etc.)
Responsible for recording work orders, mileage, PM services, etc.
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
About You
Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds.
Must have an up-to-date Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A
Certificate of completion of a truck driving course.
Acceptable MVR and previous employment history.
Clean driving record.
Dedication to safety and accident prevention.
A minimum of 1-3 years of verifiable driving experience as a tractor-trailer driver.
Working Conditions
The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
Compensation
$26.52 - $37.14 Hourly
