Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pathology Assistant Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 05/18/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position: Pathologists Assistant / Pathology Technician Duration: 13-week contract | Shift: Day (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) Start Date: 05/18/2026 | Openings: 1 Perform gross examination of surgical specimens and assist in pathology procedures Handle frozen sections , tissue processing, and staining Work on high-complexity cases (e.g., mastectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, colectomy, etc.) Assist with autopsy pathology and specimen evaluation Operate equipment like cryostat, tissue processor, and voice recognition systems Requirements: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience Graduate of accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program ASCP certification preferred Experience in hospital clinical lab setting preferred Work Environment: Pathology Lab (no floating) 30–50 specimens/day No weekends or holidays About Prime Staffing At Prime Staffing, we understand the importance of finding the perfect fit for both our clients and candidates.
