Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,290 - $1,380 (competitive travel PTA pay)

Setting: Inpatient Physical Therapy Unit / Inpatient Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 18, 2026)

Shift: Day shift, 8-hour days (possible shifts: 07:00-15:30, 07:30-16:00, or 08:00-16:30)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Call Requirement: One weekend per month

Qualifications / Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in an inpatient setting

Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in the state of California (CA PTA license)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Compliance with onboarding requirements (including health screenings and background checks)

Preferred: experience with orthopedic and/or neurological inpatient rehabilitation cases

Responsibilities

Assist in the delivery of inpatient physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility, strength, and function

Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record and communicate updates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Participate in patient education, family training, and discharge planning to support safe transitions of care

Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment for patients and staff

Fulfill scheduled weekend call requirements as assigned
