Join South Lake Refuse & Recycling , a Waste Connections company, for an exciting opportunity as a Driver! We have an immediate opening to support local routes. Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 4 AM with occasional Saturdays as needed. Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $21 to $26 per hour, based on experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely operate a garbage truck or flatbed on designated routes to collect solid waste or bulky items.

Read route sheets and efficiently service each customer as directed by the dispatcher.

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.

Perform a physically demanding job that includes loading and unloading without assistance at times.

Provide courteous interactions with customers and handle other job-related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Engage in extensive physical activity that requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

Work in environments with physical risks, necessitating adherence to basic safety protocols.

Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including exposure to humidity and fumes, with a moderate noise level.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Possess a valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement or a Class C license with a willingness to obtain a CDL.

Maintain a clean driving record.

Communicate effectively in English; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Have at least 1 year of relevant driving experience.
